A Brief History of St Pinnock Band.

1866 St Pinnock band was formed. In 1907 it became a brass band as we know them today.
In 1910 the band obtained 2nd hand uniforms from 14th Hussars
1914 a commitee was formed and the band started to buy instruments and introduced a new constitution.
1939 war breaks out. The band carry on even with a lot of players away at the war.After the war ends the band get new uniforms and enter the National championships.
The band went through a bad time with poor attendance.

In 1965 Mr Armstong retired from Grimethorpe colliery band conducted the band and they started competing again
