A marathon day, commencing with a quick march down hill to the quay, concerts on the Quay, an evening carnival up a 1:1 gradient followed by reducing children to tears as Band members have to judge the fancy dress competition, followed by a quick Flora to the quay again! The village lay on tea for us and the band traditionally engages in a communal breakfast in a cosy cafe. A day not to be missed, certainly burns off calories, and plenty going on as the good people of Polruan set about raising funds for good causes.
Good steep hills, perfect marching geography!
