The band can be booked to play at many events (concerts, fetes, functions, floral dances, weddings, Christmas carols, parties, marches etc) providing the musical entertainment and that 'something extra' to your event.

Want to join?

Great!! We are always looking for new members to join the band. Please do come along to a rehearsal, try us out and see what you think. We're a friendly band with an emphasis on enjoyment but with the ambition to improve musically and technically as a whole. This has seen us achieve steadily consistent contest results and secure promotion to the 1st section from 2014. Rehearsals are a balance between working up audience pleasing concert programmes, pieces to improve the standard/sound of the band and also test pieces for contests throughout the year.

Please do not be put off if we are not currently advertising a vacancy on your instrument. The players in the band are very versatile and happy to move instruments/positions around the band to make room for new members.

We currently rehearse on Mondays and Thursdays in our band hall in East Taphouse under the musical direction of Chris Spreadbury. You can find more information here.
